This post is part of our travels from Singapore to Brisbane (via Bali with Jetstar – $425 per person) and returning via a stopover in Bali (Brisbane to Bali via Jetstar – $300 per person). The last leg from Bali to Singapore was via KLM at a surprisingly affordable price of $79. This made the return flight from Singapore to Brisbane a rather affordable total of $800 SGD.
For this trip to Brisbane, we actually flew over to attend a friend’s wedding. To breakup the flight time, we decided that on the way back, we’d do a stopover at Bali, since we had not visited Bali for several years now. This also allowed us to experience the $79 flight from Bali to Singapore via a full service airline, KLM!
Our first flight out from Singapore to Bali via Jetstar was to depart at 3:40pm via Jetstar from Changi Airport Terminal 4. We arrived at 11am, about 4.5 hours prior to our flight to enjoy the lounge offerings this time. However, when we arrived at Jewel, we were not able to check-in. This was despite the information from Changi Airport’s website, indicating that Jetstar flights were allowed early check-in here between 3 to 12 hours before the flight. Thankfully, we were able to get our tickets at Terminal 4. Also, because it was an onward flight from Bali to Brisbane, we were able to get both legs of our flight tickets in Singapore.
After entering into the departure (transit area), our first stop was at Crystal Jade Go of Changi Airport Terminal 4, where we had a pretty good dining experience before.

This time, we tried out the Roasted Duck Rice since we didn’t get to try it out the last time. Unfortunately, it was not as good as we anticipated because the cuts given to us this time had quite a number of bones in it. Nonetheless, we did get to savour a few slices of meat with the skin atop. It was good. But not “Crystal Jade” good – where we’d expect a fragrant, fatty layer of skin on a meaty roasted duck meat. Still, we enjoyed the wanton noodle which had the aromatic fragrance of the sesame oil. The iced milk tea seemed to have had a little downgrade in size but the Lemongrass Jelly with Plum was still delectable.
This time, we also noticed that Priority Pass added a new offering at Changi Airport’s Terminal 4 – Tiger Den.
Tiger Den Changi Airport Terminal 4

With Priority Pass, we were given a credit of $33.50 each or $67 in total to offset our expenses here. As Tiger Den is known for its Super Chilled Draught Tiger Beer ($22), we decided to try out the beers along with the Double Cheese Burger ($26). We also topped up some fries at $6. As we still had $13 till $67, the staff gave us 1/2 a pint of Tiger ($13) which came up to exactly $67. The prices here at Tiger Den are already inclusive of taxes.
We enjoyed the Double Cheeseburger which had thick beefy patties generous portions of cheese that went well with the bun. As the staff forgot the sides of onion rings that was supposed to come together with the Cheeseburger, she returned later with 3 onion rings a while later. Fries were meh but the beer was good. Super Chilled Draught Tiger Beer remained cold towards the end of our meal. 🤤
Before walking over to visit Blossom Lounge, the only actual airport lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 4, we checked out the other offerings within the airport and found a retro arcade area. The games here included old-school games such as tetris, car racing, puzzle bobble, street fighter and a fussball table. All of which are free for travelers to enjoy!
Blossom Lounge Changi Airport Terminal 4

Having visited Blossom Lounge at Changi Airport T4 a couple of times, we were rather familiar with its offerings as well as the seating area. However, this time, we found a segment of the lounge that is now opened. Although there’s drinks nor service available here, it was still quite nice to have a spacious seating area with high ceiling just to chill prior to our flight. There was still our favourite Taiwan Lychee Beer and Udders Ice Cream available! 🤤

Our flight took off at 4pm (slightly behind schedule) at we reached Bali at about 6:30pm. The transit at Bali airport was quite straightforward. All we had to do was to follow the “Transit/Transfer” signs and you will finally arrive at the transit/transfer desks. There, you can get the tickets for your onward flight. Or if you’re like us, have already been issued the next flight ticket out of Bali, you can head to the lanes next to the transfer desks and take the escalator up to the 2nd level where it leads you back to the departure halls again on the airside.
After a quick visit to the toilet where Kate reported that one of the cubicles had faulty flush while the other had a faulty door that could not be locked, we headed over to Flight Club – a restaurant under Priority Pass at Bali Airport (airside).
Flight Club Bali International Airport

For Priority Pass holders visiting Flight Club, you’ll have to do the scanning of QR code within the restaurant (look for the booth above). With Priority Pass, there are 4 menus to choose from at Flight Club Bali Airport and each meal comes with a drink as well as a croissant or a muffin. This time, we chose the lamb kebab (with latte and carrot/walnut muffin) as well as the curry laksa (with cocke and blueberry muffin). Both mains were actually pretty good. The lamb did not have any gamey taste and was actually still juicy upon bite. The laksa on the other hand had the thick flavourful gravy that we liked. A mix of mee and bee hoon was used. The set also came with a small salad and fruit bowl which added value for the meals here. We also enjoyed the interior decoration here – colours that Kate liked. Overall, a great place to visit – which we were to return to on our flight back from Bali to Singapore.
After dinner, we took a stroll along the entire length of the Bali airport and found that there’s a large duty free shopping area, many branded shops such as Coach and Victoria Secret along with many classy restaurants such as Wolfgang Puck Kitchen. There’s also a Hard Rock Cafe as well as a small massage setup in the transit area.
Concordia Lounge Bali International Airport
After our stroll and digesting the food that we had at Flight Club, we headed to Concordia Lounge – the only Priority Pass Lounge at Bali International Airport.

At Concordia Lounge, it was actually not as crowded as we anticipated. There were hot food items as well as salads, soup, fruits and pastries. One important thing to note is that there’s no alcoholic beverages available here (this was reiterated by the staff at the lounge’s entrance before we agreed to enter). Nonetheless, it more than made it up with a cafe that does a mean Flat White – probably, we think, due to Bali’s proximity to Australia (home of flat white coffees). They also have mocktails available where we chose the Milky Mango and a Matcha Latte that were pretty tasty as well. Wifi was good but as for the A/C, you might want to choose seats nearer to the portable A/Cs especially on a hot day. There’s also a single massage chair where you can draw the curtain to have privacy at the far end of the lounge. Closer to the cafe area, you’ll find the toulet and a shower, which seemed to be quite well-maintained. Remember to grab a towel from the reception if you want to freshen up for a shower before your next flight out.
Our flight out of Bali Airport this evening was at 10:10pm and we reached the gate at about 9:30pm. At the gate, we had to throw away all our water and also our insect repellant (because it was assessed to be of a toxic material) 😭 😭 😭
The flight departure was also delayed because there was an Aunty who was not feeling well. We noticed that she made multiple trips to the toilet during boarding. Both she and her husband had to disembark. As they had checked-in their luggage, these had to be removed as well. Hence, we were delayed by an hour. Thankfully, we were still able to make up for lost time, arriving at 6am, not too far off from the intended arrival time of 540am. (Brisbane is 2 hours ahead of Singapore time).

@2bearbeartravel Transited via Bali to Brisbane and tried out Flight Club on the airside of Bali Airport. This time we chose Set A (Curry Mee) and Set C (Lamb Kebab) which came with a choice of beverage and a choice between a muffin or a croissant. We went with muffins (of course) and had the blueberry muffin as well as the carrot walnut muffin. A great meal! #prioritypass #flightclub #bali #baliairport #airport #food #foodie #sgfoodie #shiok #yummy #travel #traveltiktok #traveltok #travelblog #foodblog ♬ Like I Do GALCHANIE COVER – GALCHANIE (แกลชานี่)
