Guide to Canada Day Celebrations in Muskoka

Canada Day in BracebridgeIt’s Canada’s Birthday! Celebrate throughout the day in Downtown Bracebridge. Enjoy live music in Memorial Park from noon to 4 pm, then head to Manitoba Street from 4 pm to 9 pm for a street party with shop hop, kids’ crafts, and classic cottage games like Pickle Ball, Badminton, and Cornhole. End the night with a fireworks show at dusk over Bracebridge Bay. 

Canada Day In GravenhurstPut on your red and white and head to Gull Lake Rotary Park from 11 am to 3 pm for a FREE family celebration. Enjoy face painting, interactive tents, laser tag, mini-golf, the Junior Firefighter Challenge, a BBQ, cake, and live music.

Canada Day in HuntsvilleCelebrate Canada Day on Tuesday, July 1, with a full day of festivities. Start the morning at Muskoka Heritage Place, with free admission to the museum and pioneer village, and catch a ride on the returning Portage Flyer Steam Train. Head to River Mill Park in the afternoon for live music and games, then end the day with fireworks over Hunters Bay at 10:00 p.m.

Canada Day Weekend at The Kee to BalaThe Kee is bringing the energy this July long weekend with four nights of live music. Catch The Trews on Friday, June 27, and 54-40 on Saturday, June 28. On Sunday, June 29, the Giddy-Up Country Party returns, followed by back-to-back shows from Billy Talent on June 30 and July 1. It’s the ultimate kickoff to summer at one of Muskoka’s most iconic venues.

More Events In Muskoka This July

Bracebridge Bandshell Concert Series The Town of Bracebridge is pleased to present the annual Bandshell Concert Series in Memorial Park, a beloved summer tradition in Downtown Bracebridge. Taking place Wednesday nights in July and August from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., the series features an eclectic mix of local and regional talent for all ages to enjoy.

Admission is free, and donations to support the performers are encouraged. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for a comfortable spot under the open sky. It is a great way to spend a summer evening, whether you pack a picnic or grab dinner downtown before the show.

SWS Waterski Show-Catch the action every Tuesday night at Windsor Park in Bala. This high-energy waterski show is packed with fun and excitement for the whole family.

The show runs from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is by donation, and all support goes directly to the athletes who work hard to make each show unforgettable.

A Muskoka tradition since the 1960s. Arrive early or boat in if you can, as capacity is limited.

Rock The DockSet along the beautiful shores of Georgian Bay, Rock the Dock is a weekly outdoor concert series in Honey Harbour that brings live music to the waterfront every Friday night from 7 pm to 9 pm, running from June 27 to August 29, 2025. Hosted at the Port of Honey Harbour, located at 42 Delawana Road, this free, family-friendly event invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy great music in a relaxed lakeside setting.

Bring your chairs, blankets, and snacks, and settle in for an evening of live performances featuring a variety of talented artists. Whether you’re coming by boat, bike, or car, Rock the Dock is the perfect way to kick off your Muskoka weekends.

Pioneer Power Show-Every summer, from July 11 to 13, 2025, the Muskoka Pioneer Power Show brings history to life at J.D. Lang Activity Park in Bracebridge. This well-loved event celebrates Muskoka’s rural heritage with interactive displays, live demonstrations, and family-friendly fun.

Visitors can explore heritage display rooms, watch the Waterous sawmill and Mowry shingle mill in action, and step inside a fully restored log cabin and blacksmith shop. The show also features a Linn tractor, engine displays, a country store, classic and antique vehicles, antique tractor pulls, and a grand parade.

The featured brand for the 2025 show is Allis Chalmers, highlighting a rich history of agricultural machinery.

This is a hands-on, family-friendly event that offers a fascinating glimpse into Muskoka’s past.

Muskoka Arts & Crafts Summer ShowThe Muskoka Arts & Crafts (MA&C) Summer Show is one of Ontario’s longest-running and largest rural outdoor art events, and a highlight of Muskoka’s summer season. This three-day show features 200 of Canada’s most talented artisans, offering a wide range of handcrafted works—from intricate jewelry and textiles to sculpture, pottery, and fine art.

Attracting over 10,000 visitors each year, the Summer Show turns Annie Williams Memorial Park into a lively celebration of creativity and community. Alongside the art, visitors can enjoy live local music, interactive art installations, kids programming, and a variety of food vendors, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for all ages.

As MA&C’s largest annual fundraiser, the Summer Show plays a vital role in supporting the local arts community. It provides a meaningful platform for artists, strengthens Muskoka’s cultural landscape, and contributes to the local economy by drawing visitors from across the province.

Muskoka RibfestMuskoka Ribfest is back this summer and once again teaming up with the Muskoka Boat and Cottage Show for a weekend of great food, family fun, and lakeside entertainment at the Muskoka Wharf.

This free, three-day event is perfect for anyone who loves ribs, live music, and the classic Muskoka summer atmosphere. With live entertainment all weekend long, delicious vendors, and something for all ages, it’s the ultimate way to enjoy a weekend in Gravenhurst.

Sunday: 11 am – 6 pm

Tall Pines Music & Arts FestivalSet against the beautiful Muskoka backdrop of Gull Lake, Tall Pines Music & Arts Festival is a summer weekend packed with live music, art, food, and lakeside vibes. The main stage sits beneath a canopy of pine trees, just steps from the water, where festival-goers can cool off with a swim or catch a sunset with friends.

Enjoy live art activations throughout the park, connect with local artists, and explore handcrafted pieces available to take home. Lake of Bays Brewing Co. has created a festival-exclusive pilsner, adding a refreshing local touch to the experience.

With performances from top Canadian artists, a VIP area, food trucks, a kids zone, and local vendors, Tall Pines brings the full festival experience to the heart of Muskoka.

Muskoka Pride WeekCelebrate diversity, inclusion, and community during Muskoka Pride Week, taking place across the region from July 19 to 27. The week is filled with events that welcome everyone to show their support for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in Muskoka.

Festivities include flag-raising ceremonies, Pride Church Services, the Rainbow Jamboree, a Pride Boat Parade, Drive-In Movie Night, a Drag Show, and more.

Whether you’re a local resident or visiting for the weekend, Muskoka Pride Week offers meaningful ways to connect, celebrate, and stand together in support of gender and sexual diversity.

34th Annual Baysville Walkabout FestivalCelebrate 35 years of community, creativity, and summer fun at the Baysville Walkabout on Saturday, July 26, 2025. This beloved annual event transforms downtown Baysville into a bustling open-air market, with streets lined by more than 100 vendors—some new, and some returning for the 35th time.

Start the day with the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast at 8 a.m., then spend the day exploring handmade goods, local treasures, and unique finds. A live band will provide the soundtrack at the heart of the action, creating a festive atmosphere for the whole family.

Gates open at 9 a.m. and close at 4 p.m.
