One of the key highlights is Research & Learning Week (25–27 July 2025), hosted in the oceanarium’s dedicated Research and Learning Centre. Visitors can expect expert-led talks, interactive workshops, and research showcases developed with partners like the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC).

Don’t miss the Living Oceans Exhibition, featuring curated specimens from the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum and marine research posters from the RWS-NUS Living Laboratory. Together, these exhibits highlight the beauty and fragility of marine ecosystems.

Meanwhile, Ties That Bind, a stirring photo gallery by renowned Singaporean photographers Toh Xing Jie and Michael Aw, captures the intricate connections that sustain ocean life. Featured in the Spirit of Exploration zone, the showcase includes images of marine animals native to Singapore waters and celebrates local photography talent as part of SG60 National Day.

Purposeful Encounters: Behind-the-Scenes Tours & Workshops

Beyond the main exhibits, Singapore Oceanarium is introducing a series of purpose-driven programmes to enrich your visit:

  • Oceanarium Insider Experience: Go behind the scenes to see how marine habitats are maintained and animals cared for—ideal for conservation enthusiasts.
  • Fossilist Workshop: Participate in hands-on fossil excavation and uncover prehistoric insights at the Research and Learning Centre—perfect for families and science lovers.
  • Animal Spotlight: Sea Jellies: Take a guided tour of the Aquarist Lab, watch a live feeding session, and learn about jellyfish care and breeding.
  • Animal Spotlight: Corals: Discover how these reef architects are cultivated and preserved, and observe coral propagation efforts up close.
  • Ocean in Focus: Into the Abyss: A deep-dive guided tour that explores how deep-sea animals thrive under extreme conditions, with access to specialised care zones.

A Smarter Ocean Experience: New Mobile App Launch

Launching on 23 July 2025, the Singapore Oceanarium mobile app brings an extra layer of interaction to the marine journey. With augmented and virtual reality features, the app lets users purchase tickets, access exclusive digital content, join volunteer activities, and even make interactive pledges to ocean conservation.

App users will also enjoy priority entry lanes and unlock free access to Pier Adventure (worth S$10, valid till 31 August 2025). This elevated web structure offers sweeping views of the Jewel of Muscat, a ninth-century Arabian dhow replica from the former Maritime Experiential Museum.

Visitors can also submit ocean pledges through the app, which appear on a real-time digital board—a living display of collective action. Each commitment is emailed as a personalised card to serve as a lasting reminder of one’s role in protecting our oceans.

Tickets to the Singapore Oceanarium are now available here. Guests are encouraged to book early to secure slots during the opening celebrations and take part in the full lineup of exhibits, workshops, and conservation talks available throughout the launch period.
