The Ice Station

Home to the only indoor ice-skating rink in the Western Cape, The Ice Station at GrandWest allows both amateur and professional ice skaters to show off their skating skills on an Olympic-sized rink. Open all year round, The Ice Station also offers skating classes, ice hockey tournaments, figure skating programmes, shows, and events. There is also a mini supervised ice rink for children under 5 years old.

The Magic Company

While this is a kids’ activity, anyone can use their skills to collect tickets to win prizes at The Magic Company. Explore the arcade, pick your favourite games, and stand a chance to collect hundreds of tickets. We recommend you try the virtual reality experience in the X Rider.

Ten-pin Bowling

Gather your mates for an epic game of ten-pin bowling. The glow-in-the-dark features (ask the Help Desk to switch over to Cosmic Lighting when you visit) add a vibrant atmosphere for an hour or two of competitive fun. Make sure you try to achieve the “golden turkey,” which takes place when a player bowls nine strikes in a row.

Melela’s Kids Corner

If you need a date night or some ‘me time’ without the kids, you can leave them for a few hours at Melela’s Kids Corner. Your children will be in the capable hands of qualified childminders while you relax at one of the restaurants or entertainment areas. The kids’ corner is the brainchild of Indira Melela Lubambo, aiming to provide parents with affordable childcare while supporting funding for a Saturday school NPO for township children. Rules and regulations apply.

Shun De 

Shun De serves everything from curry, chicken dishes, rice noodle dishes, and a selection of hot and cold dishes. The chef uses only the freshest local produce and the highest quality special ingredients to produce their Sichuan and Cantonese dishes.

Blue Live SA Tour 

Iconic British boy band Blue has included South Africa in their 20th anniversary tour next year and will be performing live at Grand Arena. Gregory Porter Returns to South Africa
