What’s New & Next at Disneyland Paris in 2025 & 2026

A lot is happening at Disneyland Paris this year and beyond as major construction projects finally come to fruition. If you’re planning a trip to Disney’s two theme parks in France, this update covers what’s new, coming soon, and next through 2025 in terms of new rides, shows, special events, and even hotels! (Updated March 2, 2025.)

Before we get started, it’s worth noting that this post only covers new and changing things at Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park. If you want something comprehensive, consult our 2025 Disneyland Paris Vacation Planning Guide. That’s over 6,000 words offering a crash course in the basics of trip prep, including everything from getting around Paris to food to touring strategy and so much more!

The point of this post isn’t really to answer the question of whether you should visit Disneyland Paris now or wait. Many of you reading this are Europeans who view DLP as your “home” resort or are already planning a trip to France and are debating whether to include Disneyland Paris. In all of those cases, go now.

If you’re a long-time Disney fan based outside of Europe who has Disneyland Paris on your bucket list and a very flexible time frame for visiting, we’d recommend waiting if this will be a once in a lifetime trip. Walt Disney Studios Park will be better in Summer 2026 than it is today. Even then, that advice is questionable, as a lot of what’s featured in the Walt Disney Studios Park overhaul will be clones of what exists (or will exist) at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

Speaking of which, Disneyland Paris is in a time of transition. The 30th Anniversary is over and Disney delayed debuting anything new for last year’s Paris Summer Olympics. Instead, the Walt Disney Studios Park (WDSP) is currently a construction zone and maze of walls in preparation for its reinvention as Disney Adventure World. As a result, World of Frozen and Adventure Bay have been delayed, and a new Lion King Pride Land has been announced.

Big picture, that’s what’s on the horizon. Here’s a bit more detail about all of those projects, plus everything smaller scale that’ll open in the next couple of years and beyond…

New Additions

Avengers Campus (Now Open) – Walt Disney Studios Park is home to a new Marvel-themed area called Avengers Campus, which differs slightly from the versions in Hong Kong and California. Avengers Campus is now open at Walt Disney Studios Park.

This new Marvel Land features the reimagined Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, featuring Iron Man and Avengers. Alongside that, the Worldwide Engineering Brigade or WEB interactive Spider-Man attraction is the other main draw. Avengers Campus promises to immerse guests in action-packed adventures via attractions, heroic encounters, and new restaurants.

“Together: A Pixar Musical Adventure” (Now Open) – This new stage show at Walt Disney Studios Park takes you on a journey through the wonderful worlds of Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo and many other movies from Pixar.

The premise is that a child dreams of conducting the orchestra for a school end of year event. But something goes wrong, and he loses the precious sheet music on the eve of the concert. He falls asleep, and characters come alive and go through various medleys to recover the scores. It’s essentially a montage show, but with a reasonably compelling narrative thread serving as connective tissue.

Disney Tales of Magic (Now Showing) – The all-new nighttime spectacular, “Disney Tales of Magic” debuted in 2025  and transports guests to the enchanting worlds of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios. Blending storytelling and cutting-edge technology, from pyrotechnics and fountain displays to an exclusive soundtrack and illuminated drones — it’s a unique experience found only at Disneyland Paris!

This new fireworks show features a combination of iconic songs and projections of Disney characters onto Sleeping Beauty Castle and – for the very first time – onto Main Street, U.S.A. Visuals include an innovative combination of projections, fountains and breathtaking lighting effects, all set to a fantastic original soundtrack specially composed for the show.

Coming Soon!

Disney Music Festival (2025) – Running from April 19 through September 7, 2025, Disney Music Festival will turn Disneyland Paris into a musical extravaganza! This all-new offering will bring to life the latest and greatest hits from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films.

The journey will begin on Main Street, U.S.A with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dressed for the occasion! Mary Poppins, Bert and the Pearly Band will even join the fun under the gazebo in Town Square and in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, and Goofy’s dream of becoming an orchestra conductor will come true, but with fountains in place of musicians. From a “Disney Music Hits Concert” to “Timon’s Matadance” to “Miguel’s Fiesta Latina,” an all-new song for the celebration will tie each of these musical moments together.

Disney Village Reimagining (2025 & Beyond) – Over the next several years, Disney Village will be reimagined with new restaurants, plus refreshed shopping and entertainment offerings. This 428,000-square-foot complex will also receive an aesthetic overhaul,
with a phased transformation of the entire area to give the district a brand-new visual identity and introduce exciting new offerings into the mix.

The reimagined Disney Village will celebrate timeless, family-friendly environments that are uniquely Disney. By day, stylish boutiques and innovative restaurants will draw guests in. By night, thousands of lights will transform the area into a bustling wonderland. When the transformation is complete, Disney Village will feature a relaxing lakeside park and boardwalk, enhanced pedestrian walkways, brand-new facades, relaxing terraces and patios, and lush landscaping. Its diverse eateries and collection of shops will expand dining and retail options for guests with innovative concepts from some of the world’s most exciting brands.

World Premiere (Debuting in Spring 2025)– In anticipation of the opening of Disney Adventure World and World of Frozen in 2026, the entrance area of the park currently known as the Walt Disney Studios Park is undergoing a major transformation.

Opening in Spring 2025, World Premiere will pay homage to historic movie theaters in Hollywood. You’ll find numerous references to Los Angeles, Disney and other parks hidden within the much more detailed sets. You might even recognize the façade of the historic Animation Building found on the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank.

New experiences await guests, including The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant, which will offer delicious quick service options under the stars, at any time of day. You will also be able to find a wide range of snacks and hot and cold drinks for takeaway at the Searchlight kiosk.

The new Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique will offer a selection of merchandise. The Art Deco-style décor was inspired by the classic American department stores of the 1920s, with a touch of Disney. At the center of the store will stand a majestic golden statue of Mickey, specially designed by legendary Disney Animation director and animator Eric Goldberg.

As you make your way through World Premiere, you’ll arrive in the heart of World Premiere Plaza outside. The Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams are working to turn the park’s former central square into a dynamic and warm environment. The surroundings will gradually be revealed to be ready for the opening of the park’s major extension in 2026, which will also mark the launch of the new name – Disney Adventure World.

Kingdom of Arendelle (Opening in 2026) – The Frozen fun continues in the coming years with a new themed area dedicated to this beloved story, which is part of the multi-year expansion of the Walt Disney Studios Park.

As part of the fully immersive land and seen in the new concept art above, guests will see the snow-capped mountain of Arendelle in the distance opposite a large lake, with a boat ride that will transport them to Arendelle. The area will also include character encounters, a new restaurant, and a shop.

An opening timeframe has not yet been announced for this Frozen Land, but there have been a lot of slowdowns in the last few years, which have caused significant delay. The Kingdom of Arendelle appears to be a project that is fast-tracked at Disneyland Paris, but that’s not enough to meet its original opening target. Hopefully it’ll be ready to open its gates to the public “for the first time in forever” by the first half of 2026. That’s 2 years later than it was supposed to debut.

Art Nouveau Lakeside Restaurant (Likely Coming in 2026) – To access the new Kingdom of Arendelle Frozen Land, guests will walk along a promenade surrounded by lush landscapes; a combination of themed gardens and green walkways. This space will serve as the transition between the new themed areas that will surround the future lake, and will completely transform the Park’s atmosphere.

The focal point of this expansion area will be an elegant table-service restaurant comprising 250 seats on the lakefront. With its Art Nouveau design, the restaurant will offer breathtaking panoramic views across the lake along with special meet-and-greet opportunities with characters.

Untitled Adventure Bay Nighttime Spectacular (2026) – The banks along Adventure Bay and The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge will be the perfect spot to admire the awe-inspiring combination of water screens, fountains, special effects, and never- before-seen drone choreography.

Honoring its long legacy of innovation in nighttime entertainment, and in partnership with its France-based Official Technology Provider Dronisos, Disneyland Paris is also developing the first of their kind water-drones to be used just for this special show, that will bring each adventure-filled day at Disney Adventure World to a spectacular close.

All of these new experiences will roughly double the footprint of the Walt Disney Studios Park. And that’s before the next addition debuts further down the road…

Lion King Pride Lands (Likely Opening in 2028 or Later) – Disneyland Paris unveiled the upcoming creation of an all-new area at Disney Adventure World dedicated to one of the most beloved Disney franchises, around the world and particularly in Europe – The Lion King!

This larger-than-life area will bring guests on a journey through the African savanna and immerse them into the unforgettable adventures of Simba, Timon, Pumbaa and many other iconic characters from the beloved Disney film.

When visiting this first-ever themed area, guests will be immersed in the world of The Lion King thanks to Disney character greetings, themed dining, and shopping opportunities, which promises an unforgettable experience for guests of all ages.

For the attraction, Disney Imagineers will bring to life the majestic Pride Rock, which will serve as the gateway to an adventure-filled water attraction that will plunge guests beneath the rock to follow Simba on his journey from cub to king, in a retelling of the story from the classic animated feature film.

The unique attraction, exclusive to Paris, will seamlessly blend a spectacular water experience with state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics technology. Imagineers have dreamed up the perfect way to carry forward Disney’s unique storytelling tradition.

Disneyland Paris has announced that construction of the Lion Kings Pride Land area will start sometime in 2025. Let’s just hope this isn’t delayed by a few years like the rest of the WDSP expansion, and it actually opens before 2030.

Reimagined Resorts

Disneyland Hotel – The iconic Disneyland Hotel has reopened following its ambitious transformation, and it now celebrates a royal theme inspired by Disney princesses. In addition to the room reimagining, the layout of the hotel’s public spaces and equipment in the rooms has been enhanced. Guests benefit from a larger pool area, an expanded spa, and updated restaurants & lounges. The totality of which is aimed at earning Disneyland Hotel a five-star rating.

This complete refurbishment is the next step in an ambitious renovation plan for all Disneyland Paris hotels spanning years and more than 5,700 rooms. The ambitious transformation plan demonstrates Disneyland Paris’s ongoing commitment to continually invest in the guest experience and improving the resort. Disney’s Hotel New York — The Art of Marvel – This reimagined hotel is now open at Disneyland Paris. Disney’s Hotel New York — The Art of Marvel celebrates 80 years of Marvel storytelling in a typical New York setting, with a contemporary Art Deco style.

The hotel is inspired by a New York art gallery, paying tribute to the city that is home to many iconic Marvel characters and the artists who created them. When Disney’s Hotel New York — The Art of Marvel reopens next summer, it will be the first hotel dedicated entirely to the celebration of Marvel art, with one of the largest publicly viewable collections of Marvel artwork in the world.

Disneyland Paris collaborated with over 50 artists from Marvel Comics and Studios to create 300+ pieces of artwork, including comic book covers, posters, illustrations from films, storyboards, original sketches and more for Disney’s Hotel New York — The Art of Marvel.

As you might know, Hotel New York has been completely closed during this reimagining, which will introduced entirely redesigned guest rooms with a contemporary vibe, featuring Marvel artwork in each room and a subtle nod to the legendary Iron Man in all Empire State Club rooms. Suites will be themed to specific characters, like Avengers and Spider-Man.

Disney’s Hotel New York — The Art of Marvel is the first hotel where guests can have heroic encounters with iconic Marvel super heroes in a special location called Super Hero Station. In addition to morning meet & greets, guests can there will be unique Marvel photo locations such as the Collector’s Collection from the Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor’s hammer, and more.

While this isn’t our preferred route for the resort’s reimagining, the underlying Art Deco style looks nice, and the artwork appears tastefully integrated into the design. Plus, the previous “Big Apple” incarnation of Hotel New York was woefully dated and tired, and it desperately needed something.

Another new-ish development includes the reimagined Newport Bay Club Hotel, which we recently stayed at and reviewed.

New and expanded seasonal events have also been big, as these have acted as a stop-gap prior to the opening of the new expansions.

What’s New & Next at Disneyland Paris in 2025 & 2026

Overall, there’s a lot on the horizon for Walt Disney Studios Park and Disneyland Paris. In the near future, there’s a slew of seasonal events intended to tide guests over until the big things start debuting between now and Summer 2026.

Having already experienced World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland, we’re really looking forward to that–it should be a fantastic addition to the park. Perhaps more important is the placemaking that’s being done to transform the Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World.

Although that’s an unfortunate name, it looks like this will finally be an actual theme park worthy of the Disney name. Previously a concrete wasteland, getting a gigantic bay, lush environments, and better themed environments than just soundstages will be a huge win.

It’s unfortunate that Lion King Pride Lands is still so far away, though. This is replacing the previously-announced Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which would’ve been open by now had construction proceeded as planned. The 2020 closure threw a monkey wrench into that, but even before it did, the icy fan reception to Star Wars lands at Walt Disney World and Disneyland caused Imagineering to go back to the drawing board.

Disney Adventure World will still need help even after 2026, but it should be a massively improved second gate. It’ll be interesting to watch Disney’s resort complex in France continue to grow and evolve, and we’re excited about its future!
