EAT Danao Adventure Park, Bohol Rates and Travel Guide

If you have plans to visit Bohol this summer and you want to experience something different and something extreme then E.A.T Danao is the best place to go.

Danao Adventure used to be Francisco Dagohoy’s base camp during the Spanish era wherein he used one of the caves, Ka-Mira Cave as their hide-out. Because of the place’s natural beauty, LGU and other people’s organization decided to create the facility to drive in tourists and share to them the wonders of Danao.

The Plunge

E.A.T (Extreme/Eco/Educational Adventure Tour) Danao is now an LGU initiated facility that offers visitors with various adventure activities that include jumping off a cliff (The Plunge), zipline and cable car (Suislide and Skyride) , wall climbing, kayaking and cave explorations .

Situated 72 kilometers away from the Tagbilaran City, Danao is truly a great escape from your usual vacation in Bohol. What to See

From SkyRideFrom SkyRide

A two to three hour rough ride can be exhausting even if you are not the one driving. But you will regain your energy as soon as you’re near the adventure park. At first, you won’t know that you are already in their premises since there was no gate or any welcome sign (or probably we just overlooked it). Anyway, as soon as you are there you see a lot of signage telling you of the sights to where your chosen adventure will take place. But even before you proceed, you should have already thought of what you want, so here’s a list of the adventures they offer and their prices:

The Plunge

This is their most popular adventure. It is their own version of bungee jumping wherein you will have to jump 45 meters off in the air before you’ll actually be swinging around like a pendulum!

Suislide

This is the term they use for zipline wherein you and your partner will be suspended up in the air travelling across the two points giving you the perfect position to see the best of nature below. The fee is already for roundtrip.

SkyRide

Just like Suislide, you will be suspended up in the air through a cable but this time around you and your company (up to 4 people) will sit in a small carriage that will travel across two points back and forth. Getting to other side of the cable takes more minutes than Suislide so you get to really enjoy the view below.SkyRideSkyRide

Caving

Ka-Mira Cave 1Ka-Mira Cave 1

There are two caves you and your company can go for exploration. Ka-Mira Cave is best for beginners and is worth Php350.00 per person while Baliho Caving is for the more experienced spelunkers and is worth Php550.00. The Ka-Mira Cave usually takes an hour of exploration and safer than the Baliho Cave, which according to the guides have snakes in it.

According to the guides, Ka-Mira Cave was Francisco Dagohoy’s hideout during the Spanish era. Through this cave, the hero was able to put up the longest revolutionary movement because it is perfectly hidden in the forest and has no other way out but the entrance itself. Inside the cave are great formations of stalactites and stalagmites.
