FairPrice Group Launches First-Ever Made in Singapore Farmers Market to Celebrate SG60 and Local Produce

In celebration of Singapore’s 60th birthday, FairPrice Group (FPG) has launched its first-ever Made in Singapore (MIS) Farmers Market, shining a spotlight on local farms and homegrown produce. Happening from 2 to 3 August 2025 at FairPrice Xtra JEM, the event is part of FPG’s wider SG60 celebrations and aims to showcase the richness and resilience of Singapore’s agri-food landscape.

This two-day community event brings together over 60 locally farmed products from six Singapore farms, offering an exciting blend of interactive experiences, cooking demos, and exclusive deals for the whole family. It’s a unique opportunity to support local while learning about the vital role homegrown produce plays in the nation’s food security.

Discover the Flavours of Singapore – With a Twist

Visitors can look forward to first-of-its-kind food creations like spinach ice cream from Nippon Koi Farm, along with a chance to win exclusive local produce mascot plushies. Shoppers can also enjoy limited-time flash deals, including $0.60 trays of eggs and $6 seafood specials, in celebration of SG60.

Live Cooking Demos with Local Flavour

In collaboration with the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), the market will host live cooking demonstrations, reimagining classic local dishes like Egg Foo Yong and Steamed Fish with Crispy Chai Poh—all made using proudly Singaporean ingredients.

Supporting Local, One Product at a Time

The MIS Farmers Market is part of FPG’s commitment to nurturing Singapore’s local produce scene by giving farmers greater visibility and market access. Participating farms include long-time partners like Sustenir, Chew’s Egg, and The Fish Farmer, alongside Growy, an agritech vertical farming newcomer.

With growing consumer interest, FPG has expanded its range of locally sourced products to nearly 180 items across stores, including fresh vegetables, fish, and eggs—staples like red snapper, seabass, beansprouts, and kale are now more accessible than ever.

More Local Goodness Coming Your Way

Following the farmers market, FPG will roll out its annual MIS Fair, a two-week promotion across FairPrice stores and online platforms, featuring attractive deals on Singapore-made products and fun activities to keep the SG60 spirit alive.

This initiative joins a series of FPG’s SG60 highlights rolled out in 2025, including:

  • Price freezes on essential seafood, pork, and vegetables before Chinese New Year
  • The “Celebrate with FairPrice for Less” campaign with 12 weeks of housebrand snack deals
  • Over $5 million in May Day discounts for NTUC Union and Link members
  • Three waves of FairPrice Return Vouchers complementing CDC support packages
  • The 5th edition of the ‘Save Every Day’ campaign, offering over $1,000 in savings through 400+ vouchers
