Introducing Colugo Camp, a year-round, all-inclusive glamping experience that officially opens to the public on 8 August 2025, a day before Singapore’s National Day.

We were invited for a first look during a media preview earlier this week and found the idea of being able to stay overnight in Mandai in a glamping environment to be potentially attractive for tourists and locals alike.

The permanent camp setup is designed to offer a unique blend of nature immersion and comfort for nature lovers, families and corporate groups.

Dash to Cart

Tucked into the eastern edge of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, near River Wonders, Colugo Camp features 20 safari-style tents, most with views of Upper Seletar Reservoir.

Each spacious 20 sqm tent can accommodate up to four guests, with a queen-size bed, bunk bed, portable air-conditioning, and both ceiling and standing fans.

Wheelchair-accessible tents are available upon request, and Wi-Fi is provided for those who cannot completely unplug.

The tents also come with outdoor patios, great for taking in the tranquil surroundings. Just do not eat there, as the wildlife, like long-tailed macaques, may pay you an unexpected visit.

One important note for prospective campers: toilets and showers are shared, housed in communal facilities nearby.

While these are family- and wheelchair-friendly, the shared setup might not be everyone’s cup of tea. If you’re looking for plush, full-privacy accommodation, you may want to check out the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, located just next door.

Also worth noting: pets are not allowed, both for their safety and the wildlife’s.

Food is a big part of the experience.

Campers are treated to an all-inclusive dining package featuring:

  • Welcome drinks
  • International buffet breakfast
  • Asian buffet dinner
  • Light supper

Meals are served at the communal dining hall, and include vegetarian options and sustainable ingredients.

Notably, the camp serves wildlife-friendly Owa Coffee, a conservation-conscious brew.

For an extra treat, guests can add on premium packages like the Wine Down basket (S$68), complete with wine, sparkling water, cheese, and grapes; or a Wild Supplies basket (S$25) with snacks and drinks.

Beyond food and lodging, the Colugo Camp package includes admission to Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, and River Wonders, all within walking distance.

Guests are also treated to guided tours, a chartered tram ride with live commentary, and reserved seating at the “Creatures of the Night” show.

Camp facilitators are on hand to lead the experiences, offering educational insights and nature storytelling to deepen your connection to the wild surroundings.

Pricing and Packages

Rates start at:

  • S$550 for 2 pax
  • S$700 for 3 pax
  • S$800 for 4 pax

Additional nights can be booked at the same nightly rate. Children must be at least three years old, and anyone under 21 must be accompanied by an adult.

Special offers include:

  • $60 off the first 60 bookings (in celebration of SG60)
  • 15% off for Friends of Mandai
  • 10% off for WildPass holders

Bookings can be made via the official Colugo Camp website, Klook, Pelago, and Trip.com.

Colugo Camp marks the evolution of Mandai Wildlife Group’s sleepover programmes, which began in 2020 with “Staycation with Manatees.” Since then, themed sleepovers like “Glamping with the Penguins” at Bird Paradise and “Snoopy Glamping” at the Singapore Zoo have drawn families and fans alike.

Moving forward, these themed glamping sessions will be reserved for private and corporate bookings, making Colugo Camp the flagship year-round public offering.

Mandai Wildlife Group also teased a second glamping site – Crocodile Camp, set within the upcoming Rainforest Wild Africa, scheduled to open in 2026.

Overall, Colugo Camp is a bold and welcome addition to Singapore’s growing eco-tourism scene. The glamping experience may not be for everyone, but it is unique and different in Singapore. The prices may seem to be on the steep side, but if you consider it is all-inclusive of meals and admissions to all the Mandai attractions, it is reasonably priced, close to what we would usually pay for a cruise experience for instance.

More details are available via the official Colugo Camp website.
