Tamborine National Park was our next stop after lunch at Fortitude Brewing Co.. Drove up to Knolls road and walked up to see Cameron Falls at Tamborine National Park…

About Tamborine National Park Queensland Australia
This time, we took the Sandy Creek Circuit which took about 25 mins each way. Hence, about 1 hour for the round trip. From the description, the hike will allow us to explore varied landscapes such as the tall open forest, palm groves and subtropical rainforests…

“Meander through lush rainforest where towering trees emerge through the canopy. A 90m track branches off through open eucalypt forest to Cameron Falls lookout. On a clear day enjoy views across the valley to the southern suburbs of Brisbane, Mt Coot-tha and D’Aguilar Range.”
Our Hike Through Sandy Creek Circuit at Tamborine National Park Queensland Australia

One of things that we would like to remind our readers is to wear suitable shoes for the hike. Despite being a relatively simple walk, there would be instances where the path is not entirely smooth with rocks protruding – almost tripped a couple of times in our sandals. Hence, WEAR PROPER SHOES!
The hike itself is not difficult and it meanders through forests as well as an area with large rocks…

In fact, one of the fellow hikers told us that this area is one of her favourite and reminded us to take some photos. When we reached there, the large rock formations did remind us of a movie-set. Definitely worth a photo or two.

Along the way, we met another fellow hiker who showed us a special fern that actually had hooks on its stem! Strangely though, if you run your fingers in the opposite direction, you’ll be find but we were told, if you happen to walk past in the direction of the hook, you might have a nasty surprise! Yikes!
Towards the end of the hike, we did see views out to Pacific Ocean but the views of Cameron Falls at Tamborine National Park was unfortunately blocked by the growing trees nearby.

@2bearbeartravel Did an 1 hour walk through #TamborineNationalPark to see the #waterfall but was obscured. Nonetheless, the #hike and #trek was amazing with fresh air, boulders and forests. Prior to our hike, we saw a few groups of people having lunch at the entrance to the walk. There, you’ll be able to enjoy the fresh air and on a cool day, views out to the valleys. If you’re not up for a hike, you can probably do a little picnic here as well. But if you’re up for the hike through Sandy Creek Circuit, remember to wear proper shoes and enjoy the forest walk as well as the rock formations and hopefully you’ll get a clear day to have views out to Pacific Ocean at the end of the hike at Tamborine National Park!
