One of the World’s Most On-time Airlines Is Adding a Flight From Florida to Spain

Get ready to fly easily from the home of Disney World to Spain at the end of the year.

Iberia Airlines announced that they will inaugurate a new non-stop route from Madrid to Orlando this fall. Beginning October 26, flights from Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD) to Orlando International Airport (MCO) will fly four times per week, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

“We are truly pleased to announce the opening of these three new routes next winter season. Thanks to our relationship with Disney Destinations, we believe Orlando can become the star destination for the upcoming Christmas season,” María Jesús López Solás, Director of Sales, Customers, Network Development and Alliances at Iberia, said in a statement shared with T+L.

Orlando is most notable for its theme parks, including Disney World and Universal Orlando. Madrid is one of the largest and most exciting cities in Europe, with world-famous art museums like the Prado and iconic streets filled with camera-ready architecture like the Gran Via.

Iberia will also launch two new routes to Brazil. On December 13, flights from Madrid (MAD) to Recife/Guararapes–Gilberto Freyre International Airport (REC) will begin three times per week, and increase to five times per week in February. Then on January 19, flights will begin to Fortaleza International Airport (FOR) three times per week, increasing in February to four times per week.

“We believe Brazil has great potential, beyond the major cities we already serve. With the addition of the new A321XLRs, we can explore new routes across the Atlantic, assess their acceptance, and gradually adapt supply to demand,” said López Solás in a statement to T+L.
