Updated group tour – World in One Country


Our World in One Country guided group tour is now updated for 2025! This 19-day lodge safari in South Africa begins in Johannesburg and ends in Cape Town, offering a chance to discover the rich cultures and landscapes of South Africa, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), and Lesotho.

Day 1: Johannesburg

Your adventure begins in Johannesburg, South Africa’s largest city, filled with culture and history. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, the Southern Sun OR Tambo or a similar quality lodging. With the rest of the day at your leisure, take the opportunity to explore the lively spirit of the city at your own pace.

Day 2: Graskop

Today you will experience a scenic drive through Mpumalanga, a province located in the eastern part of South Africa. It is known for its diverse landscapes, including mountains, forests, and savannahs, as well as its wildlife and cultural heritage. You will be staying in Graskop, a town within the Mpumalanga province. Graskop is a popular tourist destination due to its proximity to scenic attractions such as the Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window, and the Panorama Route. Accommodations will be provided at Graskop Hotel or a similar establishment

Day 3: Panorama Route & Hazyview

Your adventure begins with a visit to Bourke’s Luck Potholes, where centuries of swirling water have carved out fascinating cylindrical rock formations, creating a landscape of pools and potholes. Next, prepare to be awe-struck by the majestic Blyde River Canyon, one of the largest canyons in the world and a true testament to nature’s grandeur. After a day of discovery, you can unwind and relax at Hazyview Sun Hotel or a similar quality accommodation.

Day 4: Kruger National Park

Experience an exciting day of wildlife spotting with a full day open vehicle game drive in Kruger National Park, renowned for its Big 5 sightings. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos, as well as other animals. After the adventures, enjoy a traditional Boma dinner, a South African outdoor dining experience, typically held around a fire pit. You will be enjoying a buffet of African dishes while experience live entertainment. Rest up at Hazyview Sun Hotel or a similar hotel, ready for more adventures tomorrow.

Days 5 – 6: Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland)

Today you will be exploring the Kingdom of Eswatini and the wildlife of Mlilwane. In the afternoon, you will go on a guided game walk and experience Swazi culture firsthand with a visit to the Umphakatsi Chief’s homestead. It’s a day filled with wildlife and cultural discovery! You will be staying at Mlilwane Rest Camp or a similar spot.

Day 7: KwaZulu-Natal

Get ready for a scenic drive through Eswatini to the Kingdom of the Zulu in KwaZulu-Natal. Enjoy the beautiful views and culture along the way. Rest up at Ezulwini Lodge, or a similar place, before exploring more of the Zulu kingdom tomorrow.

Day 8: KwaZulu-Natal

Explore the amazing wildlife of Zululand at Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve. You will go on a game drive to see the Big 5 and other African animals. Later, enjoy a boat ride in St Lucia, where you can see lots of birds, and watch out for crocodiles and hippos. Then, relax at Elephant Lake Hotel or a similar comfortable place for the night after your exciting day in Zululand.

Days 9 – 10: Drakensberg

Get ready for an exciting day! We will head to the Drakensberg Mountains and hop on a guided 4×4 ride up the Sani Pass to Lesotho. It’s a thrilling ride with stunning views! When you reach the top, enjoy a drink at the highest pub in Africa. Then, relax at Premier Sani Pass Resort or a similar place for the night after your mountain adventure.

Days 11 – 12: Cintsa

Continue the journey south to the stunning Wild Coast, a true gem of natural beauty. Here, you’ll discover miles of untouched coastline, with pristine beaches. Your accommodation for the night is the Crawfords Beach Lodge or a similar quality lodging, offering you the perfect opportunity to relax and soak in this picturesque coastal paradise.

Day 13: Addo

Today, we will take a drive through the historic Zuurberg Mountain Pass, known for its rich heritage and stunning landscapes. Enjoy a beautiful, guided walk later in the day. You will stay at Zuurberg Mountain Inn or a similar cozy place for the night, surrounded by scenic views.

Days 14 – 15: Cape St Francis

Get ready for an exciting day filled with adventure! Start your morning with a game drive in Addo Elephant National Park, where you’ll have the chance to spot elephants and other wildlife. Later in the day, enjoy a relaxing sunset boat cruise on the scenic Kromme River. The next day, you will join an informative calamari tour and tasting at Port St Francis. This unique experience allows you to sample South Africa’s finest local calamari, often called “white gold”. Your accommodation for the night is at Cape St Francis Resort or a similar quality lodging, providing a comfortable retreat after your day of exploration.

Day 16: Oudtshoorn

Continue the journey with a scenic drive to Tsitsikamma Forest, where you’ll enjoy a guided walk to the bridge at Storms River Mouth, soaking in the stunning views. Afterward, we will head to Oudtshoorn, renowned as the Ostrich capital of the world. You will stay overnight at Mooiplaas or similar quality lodging.

Day 17: Winelands

Start your day with an early morning tour of the ostrich farm, where you’ll learn all about these fascinating birds. Then, continue your journey towards Cape Town, making a stop in the Winelands for a tour and wine tasting at a local wine estate in Robertson. Sample some of South Africa’s finest wines and enjoy the scenic surroundings. Your accommodation for the night is at Pullman Cape Town City Centre or a similar quality lodging, providing a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the vibrant city.

Days 18 – 19: Cape Town

Today will be all about exploring the beautiful city of Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula. It will be a full day of adventure, visiting iconic landmarks such as Cape Point, the Cape of Good Hope, and Boulders Beach. Take in the stunning coastal scenery and enjoy leisure time in the afternoon to relax or explore the vibrant city at your own pace. You will be staying at Pullman Cape Town City Centre or a similar accommodation. After breakfast on your last day, you’ll be transferred to the airport, marking the end of your tour.
