Weekend in Knightsbridge, London – What to Do and See in 2 Days

Today I want to share my itinerary for a weekend in Knightsbridge with you. This part of London is known for its iconic department stores, luxury goods shops, and high-end restaurants. Add to that beautiful streets and leafy squares, and it’s a great place to be. I’ve been invited to spend a weekend in Knightsbridge to discover the highlights of the neighborhood, and today I want to share about my experience in this advertising feature. I’ve included a map, too.

Day 1

I arrive in Knightsbridge on a Saturday morning and meet a friend who’s joining me for the weekend. We’re excited to see what our two days in the area have in store for us.

The HVN

We start with wellness treatments at The HVN. This place is known for its clinical innovation, and it offers bespoke treatment plans.

After being welcomed into the calming waiting room, our expert therapists whisk us off to experience treatments ranging from Body Ballancer to Visia and Styku.

CLAP London

Leaving The HVN, we walk the short distance to CLAP London. This Japanese restaurant in Knightsbridge has a unique culinary concept that combines authenticity and innovation to create an immersive dining experience.

We’re seated by a window on the top floor, where we enjoy sweeping views of the skyline. We’re here for the weekend brunch, which features an eclectic line-up of Japanese dishes and cocktails.

From a buffet of mouth-watering sushi and sashimi to main courses like miso black cod, it’s a great place for a midday meal.

Harrods

We have some free time after brunch, so we head to Harrods. From the food halls to the shoes and dresses, we have fun browsing the wares.

At 3:30pm we make our way to The Georgian for afternoon tea on the terrace. The Georgian opened in 1911 as London’s largest restaurant, and today it’s the perfect place for culinary indulgence.

We’re seated outside on the terrace, where we enjoy afternoon tea. It’s rare to be able to enjoy the tradition al fresco in London, and we love that we can savor the sandwiches, scones, and pastries under the sun.

Knightsbridge Hotel

After lunch we walk over to the Knightsbridge Hotel to check into our room. Tucked away on a side street, this boutique bolthole has the charm of an intimate townhouse with the benefit of creative genius Kit Kemp’s signature interiors and design.

The lobby, Library, and Drawing Room all feature unique artwork and vibrant contemporary textiles. So does our room. Not only does it have stunning decor, but it’s also spacious by London standards. If you want to follow in our footsteps, you can book your stay here.

The Mayfair Chippy

After getting settled in, we take a walk in Hyde Park before strolling over to Brompton Road for dinner at The Mayfair Chippy. It’s the Knightsbridge outpost of the famous Mayfair restaurant, and it offers all-day dining with quintessentially British dishes.

We’re seated at a table in the mezzanine dining room, and we order everything from G&Ts from the Gin Bar to the award-winning fish and chips. The food, service, and atmosphere are all to our liking, and the meal is a great way to end the day.

Day 2

The next morning we wake up and have breakfast at the Knightsbridge Hotel before enjoying some free time in the neighborhood. I take my friend on my self-guided Knightsbridge walk, and we have fun exploring the area’s beautiful side streets.

Dinner by Heston Blumenthal

When lunch o’clock rolls around, we walk over to Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. The restaurant’s Luncheon Menu features dishes that reinvent heritage recipes. They showcase Heston Blumenthal’s historic gastronomy techniques as well as his focus on sustainability.

Sitting at a window table overlooking Hyde Park, we tuck into dishes like ‘Ragoo of Pigs Ear on Toast’ (c.1727) and ‘Salt Cod’ (c.1769). They go down a treat with the cocktails and wine pairing the sommelier offers us.

Paradox Museum

After lunch we walk to the Paradox Museum. This Instagrammable place has colorful selfie-worthy exhibits and trompe l’oeil marvels. We experience everything from the hall of mirrors to the Zero Gravity experience, taking photos and videos as we go.

La Mome

After visiting the museum we walk around the neighborhood some more, then head to dinner at La Mome. This restaurant at The Berkeley hotel offers cuisine inspired by the bold and delicate flavors of Mediterranean culture.

The London outpost of a famous restaurant in Cannes, La Mome brings the glamour of the French Riviera to Knightsbridge. With colorful decor, a live singer, and theatrical dishes, our meal is a memorable one.
