Great news for both locals and international visitors, Robben Island Museum (RIM) is keeping its tour prices unchanged for the fourth year in a row.
The goal is to keep the World Heritage site affordable and accessible to everyone.
Ticket Prices Remain Unchanged
If you’re South African, you’ll pay R400 for adults and R210 for kids (aged 2–18). International visitors pay R600 for adults and R310 for kids (aged 2–18).
Walking tours are also available for those who wish to experience a more intimate Robben Island experience. This unique tour lets you walk in the footsteps of the greats who contributed to South Africa’s liberation. The walking tour price remains at R1000 for South African adults and R620 for children aged 2 to 18 years. International visitors will pay R1400 for adults and R820 for children aged 2 to 18 years.
Chairperson of the RIM Council, Stated Prof. Saths Cooper, on why RIM decided to retain their prices: “Our mandate is even more relevant – to share, preserve, educate, and communicate the values, experience, and legacy of Robben Island with all citizens of the world to create a better understanding of our shared past so that the lessons of selfless service for the greater good, mutual respect, dignity, tolerance of diversity, and the quest for realising a common humanity prevail in our fragile world.”
